Day 4: When we are ready to take the chance



When you hold on tight to something, you will hurt yourself. When you cling to something long you will exhaust all your energy and be tired. But, when you let go of something you will be able to see the beauty of it.


Sometimes in life letting go is not just about goodbyes, but, often time it’s an opportunity to grow and learn. We cannot see the bigger picture if we don’t step backward. To be able to see the beauty of our connection, one must step backward and watch the other from a distance. But, that does not mean one is letting go. 


I hope we cross paths again in the future when we’re both ready to take a chance. But, for now, let’s enjoy the special connection that we had and serve its purpose. Stepping backward does not mean the end of hope, it’s trusting that what’s meant for us will find its way.


For now, I’ll just wait at the top of the mountain, admiring the most beautiful sunset I could ever see. In the future when destiny will be at our side, and when your heart is healed from the wounds of your past, maybe we can write stories that are ours.


Maybe not now, but I hope in the future, I’m patient.
